Who needs a dozen roses when you could have three delicious rosés to enjoy on Valentine's Day and over the President's Day holiday weekend? More than just pretty to look at, sparkling rose wines come in a range of styles and can be some of the most food-friendly and refreshing options available this time of year. To show our love for the pink bubbles, we have chosen three distinctive sparkling rosés to feature with special pricing this week and through the weekend.
Always a favorite among Mission Wines customers and staff, Gruet's Brut Rosé is a dry sparkling rosé composed of 100% Pinot Noir from high desert mountains south of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It is produced according to the traditional method of Champagne
production, with the addition of 2% still wine lending color and
structure to the final cuvée. A beautiful pink color, this Rosé offers floral and fresh
strawberry aromas and flavors with baking spice notes. The creamy
mousse is framed by fresh acidity and lingering biscuity flavors on the
finish.
A new arrival to our shelves, from the heart of Emilia Romagna, comes this magnificent single-varietal, single-vineyard dry Lambrusco from Cantina della Volta...and one that will turn heads of even the most serious sparkling wine lovers. Composed
entirely of the Lambrusco di Sorbara variety, this sparkler is so
balanced and refined (not to mention fresh, invigorating, and delicious)
that you will not believe it is Lambrusco. It was produced according to the classical method with aging in bottle as in traditional Champagne-making. It's impressive on its own, but is amazing with salumi and pizza. Try it as an alternative to Prosecco, Cremant and even (gasp!) Champagne. You will not be disappointed.
And finally, we can't forget the real stuff. This classy rosé Champagne from artisan grower A. Margaine is just as beautiful in the glass as it is alongside a meal. With
a gorgeous pale pink hue, fine bead and complex flavor profile, this is
Champagne for purists with mouth-filling qualities that will appeal to a
broader audience, too.

"Light, bright pink. Powerful red fruit and floral pastille aromas are

expansive on the palate, offering juicy raspberry and tangerine flavors
and a touch of candied fig. Picks up a smoky quality on the
spice-accented finish, which shows impressive energy and thrust.”
